영어를 잘하고 싶다는 마음에 정말 많은 강의를 수강하고 유료어플을 결제하기도 했었습니다.한 번 여태까지 외국어 공부를 위해 수강했던 강의나 결제했었던 앱들을 한 번 나열해 볼까요? - 강의시원스쿨, 스피킹맥스, 리사잉글리시, 야나두, 윤재성영어, 민병철유폰, 코어소리영어, 애로우잉글리시 - 어플듀오링고, 캐치잇잉글리시(Catch it English), 이지보카, 케이크(Cake), 스픽(Speak)  다 좋은 강의였고 유용한 앱들이었는데 제 실력이 늘지 않았던 이유는 따로 있더군요.알고 보니 진도를 나가는 게 중요한 게 아니라 스피킹이든 라이팅이든 결국 영어를 잘하려면배운 것을 소화시킬 수 있는 시간이 필요하단 것을 뒤늦게 깨닫게 되었습니다. 만약 현재 자신의 상황에 만족한다면 영어를 공부할 필요가 없을 것 같다. 남들 다 하니까 하는 공부라면 스트레스만 받고 실력도 잘 늘리 않으니 차라리 그 시간에 다른 걸 하며 즐겁게 시간을 보내는 것이 좋을 것 같다. 시간과 돈을 써가면서 원하지도 않는 스트레스를 받을 필요가 없지 않을까? 내 개인적으로는 이런 시기니까 더욱 영어를 할 줄 알아야 한다고 생각한다. 단적인 예로 GPT는 사용자가 원하는 것을 정확하고 디테일하게 컴퓨터에게 요청을 해야 원하는 결과를 출력할 수 있다. 한국말로 물어봐도 GPT가 잘 대답해주기는 하지만 영어보다는 자연스럽지 못 하다. 그리고 IT에 몸담고 있는 사람으로서 한 마디 덧붙이자면 컴퓨터가 더욱 스마트한 대답을 내놓기 위해서 스스로 학습을 하는데 (딥러닝) 이때 사용되..
